Two schools, one identity

Crafted for unity

For years, a Chicagoland high school hockey team had an identity crisis.

Some nights, the IceCats would wear white and blue jerseys to represent Vernon Hills High School, where half of their roster went to school. Other nights, they’d wear black and orange for their Libertyville student-athletes.

In 2020, their coaches contacted me looking for a new identity as one team with one color scheme.

We kept the idea of the old logo intact but gave the IceCat a facelift. Then, we wrapped it in orange and blue to represent the two schools that came together to form one team.

My full rebrand included a primary logo, two secondary logos and two jerseys.
